It seems to me that both kayaking and canoeing as a competitive sport contributes highly to the the success of Team GB as a whole. Whether it is slalom, downriver racing, polo or freestyle the UK are right up there as one of the big hitters year in and year out. Yet funding to get UK team members out to freestyle competitions to represent our country is lacking.

Today I learnt about Enduro with a run around the 45KM route of the Ard Rock Enduro 2017.
Chris Wing from H2O Dreams has launched a new series of videos (“The Flow State”) covering some important issues that all paddles may face.
In this episode Chris discusses some of the utility of a rescue PFD for paddlers and the common myths of different uses.
A Sweet Protection Rocker has been in the Unsponsored gear bag for a number of years. Mine is nice and simple gloss white number which I really get on well with. This Sweet Protection Rocker however is a two tone metallic affair. Metallic white top and metallic red lower. Even the visor matches.

Paddle Pickup – A 300km Kayaking expedition tackling plastic pollution
In 3 weeks, a group of women will come together to Kayak coast to coast from Bristol to London via 300km of waterways. Along the way they will be collecting plastic rubbish from the canals, carrying out research and raising awareness on the problem of plastic pollution.
