The Toro came hot on the heels of the successful Raptor and Director kayaks. Aimed at a wide cross section of paddlers and water conditions the Toro promised stability with a racing pedigree. The boat I have on loan was kindly supplied by North East Kayaks and Paddles.
I have had a Zet Toro in for review for the last few months.
If you have read any of my other reviews you’ll know my feelings on the basic outfitting so I won’t go into detail here. If you don’t wish to read the other reviews the summary is – it’s simple and works.
North East Kayaks and Paddles had a visit from Wavesport today and they showed them the updated outfitting for the Diesel and the D-series of kayaks. They also brought along the kids Fuse 35 which is also now available.
The Diesel is still available with the Core Whiteout outfitting but now comes in a cheaper version called Blackout which looks pretty cool, it has ratchets in already and can have hip pads put in if required too!
The guys have released a new logo/sticker. It looks great. You can get them directly from North East Kayaks & Paddles.
I travelled just under two hours North for the official opening of North East Kayaks and Paddles. When you travel so far to a store you hope that the range of stock is up to scratch and that your journey hasn’t been wasted. This was certainly the case today. Loads of kit from Palm, PeakUK, Nookie, HF, Werner, Robson, Dagger, Pyranha, P&H, Wavesport, Liquid Logic, Sweet, Shredready plus lots more. There seemed to be plenty of stock and a wide range of sizes and colours. Here are a few shots from today.
