Continue readingI had grown up seeing so many videos of one of the biggest classics of Norway, the Lower Rauma. Finally getting the chance to experience it was unreal and it was everything I could have imagined, and more. I not only ended up getting the 3rd descent of Brennenfossen which is an ultra stout that Bren first descented in 2016. I also ended up deciding to run Flemmingsfossen which is one of the most intimidating drops I have done as it has a very hard lip to line up, as well as only about a 20ft window where the drop doesn’t land on rocks. It was one hell of a day and I definitely can’t wait to get back to it, although I don’t think I will be running those 2 stouts again.

On a shorter than usual trip to Norway, Send team riders Bren Orton and Adrian Mattern decided to take smaller than usual kayaks to allow them to have a sick day on the river everyday.

A number of trade shows are taking place ready for the outdoor season later in the year.
An eagle eyed contributor to Unsponsored has spotted that Sweet Protection are using a different “S” for their logo.
Norway has been known as a kayaking Mecca for decades. The country’s whitewater was explored, pioneered and descended by a dedicated crew of local and international kayakers. They recorded their exploits in a book and passed down their knowledge to the next generation. In the summer of 2017 the Send crew embarked on a Norwegian odyssey with the aim to push hard and progress on some of the biggest and best sections of whitewater in the world.
