Wavesport Project X – Review

The Project X from Wavesport has been around for quite a few years having been originally released way back in 2011. The release of the new Möbius has removed the Project X from being Wavesport’s premium playboat. However quite a few retailers have stock at killer prices.

Project X

The Project X is a short freestyle kayak that is available in three different sizes – 48, 56 and 64 gallons. The first generation had Wavesport’s Core Outfitting. The outfitting in early models was good but some issues with delamination had been reported by quite a few paddlers. Wavesport quickly rectified this issue with an update in the materials and production techniques used.

Wave Sports Hans Nutz gives Rapid Media Publisher Scott Macgregor the low down on the new freestyle kayak the Mobius. Coming in three sizes (and even a Carbon version for the pros) this boat has a very interesting stern design to help you catch more waves.

Old School Series – Wavesport Transformer

Wave Sport has raised the bar when it comes to implementing innovative designs. Much talked about the Transformer may be the next VHS or Betamax. Only time will tell.

Wavesport Ethos – Review

How about having a kayak that you can easily tour sheltered coastal water and lakes with a load of kit one day and then run whitewater the next. If that is your thing then what you might want to consider is getting a cross-over kayak. This area of the market has grown a great deal over the last couple of years with all of the major manufactures bringing out their own versions of the cross-over platform.

Wavesport Recon 93 – First Look

Way back last year I was lucky enough to be the first in the UK to paddle the New Wavesport Recon 83. I fell in love with the boat instantly as it reminded me how FUN paddling can be.

Soon after I ordered a Recon 93. I reckon I could happily paddle either the 93 or 83, but due to my size a little extra volume may be in order. The chosen colour – Cherry Bomb, which as it turns out was a great choice.
