Paddling tips, tricks, news and gear reviews from an Unsponsored point of view


Unsponsored started in the late 1990’s and has continued to have a high presence within the paddlesport community. The aim of the site has evolved to provide the paddlesport world with up to date “paddling tips, tricks news,and gear reviews” (many thanks to Shane Benedict from Liquid Logic kayaks for coming up with the tag line for the site).

The site has grown exponentially over the last few years with well over 2000 unique visitors each day and well over 60000 page views each and every month (and still growing). The bulk of visitors are from English speaking countries – The United Kingdom, United States of America, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. That said Unsponsored also has a very strong following throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

The screen shot below shows the number of views from June 2012 when Jetpack Stats for WordPress was installed to 12.50pm on 26th Oct 2016.


Google analytics was activated on the site in March 2013 and shows a similar trend to that of Jetpack stats.

Unsponsored is also represented on Facebook (over 5100 likes), Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Instagram. Throughout all social media sites Unsponsored continues to grow. All posts submitted on Unsponsored are automatically shared on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Tumblr.
