I’ve had a tent knocking about the garage for some time that didn’t have a stuff sack. I had managed to rip it some time ago. I eventually got around to picking up a replacement tent bag from Alpkit.
The tent bag is described as follows:
Material: Siliconised Cordura
20mm webbing
Drawstring closure with toggle
The bag is availabe for two sizes of tent. My tent is a 3 man 3 season model so I went for larger size 2.
Over the years Alpkit stuff sacks have become a favourite. They are cheap, well manufactured and tough. The Escape Pod works really well. Its generous size allowed my tent to fit in with ease. Any excess material in the system is accounted for by the two compression straps.
The bag is far better than the bag that was originally supplied with the tent and I am feeling very tempted to get a couple more to replace OEM bags that are used to store my other tents.
