To the Bomber Gear community,
Rick Franken started Bomber Gear in 1992 with one goal in mind, to create innovative gear that was warm, dry, and comfortable. His passion for paddling and creating the best products in the world fueled Bomber Gear for 23 years.
As a company, we’ve weathered changes and have celebrated as our global paddling community pushed the limits of paddlesports. We are mindful of that heritage, and as we reflect on Rick’s incredible legacy, we announce today the difficult decision to cease production and distribution of Bomber Gear in 2016.
We are thankful for our supporters. First and foremost, our sincere appreciation goes to Team Bomber Gear. Our talented collection of athletes inspired us with their drive for performance, their energy, and their leadership. Their enthusiasm for kayaking and SUP is contagious, and they were a huge part in our success.
Above all, we thank you. Our loyal customers made coming into work each day fun; it’s an amazing experience knowing that the gear we make allows people to enjoy paddling and be outside. We thank you for standing by us, and we will return the favor by standing by our product.
