MYOG – Silnylon Tarp

This is the biggest tarp I have made to date, and was proof of concept. The material used was 30d grey silnylon from the US of A. The tarp was rigged up using a couple of Werner Bandit canoe paddles.

Just over 3m x 2.4m

Dyneema re-enforcements on all major tie out points. Minor tie out pints in between each pair of major tie outs. Tie outs – black 16mm grosgrain. Superstrong.

Ridge line is flat felled seemed and then strengthened with black 16mm grosgrain top and bottom. Tie out tabs added to ridge line.

Edge has been bound for strength with black 20mm grosgrain. Thread used was gutterman 100% polyester.
