The new 2015 Palm Equipment Horizon shorts have just landed at Unsponsored HQ. I have a bit of time to look at them and am waiting on the warmer weather to arrived to try them out on the river. In the meantime here’s a quick run down.
The outer short is contrasted from Nylon 200d, this is very similar to the fabrics used in dry trousers and dry tops. As they are shorts none of the seams are sealed.
The shorts have a thigh pocket on the right hand side and a board short style lace up system at the front.
The inner shorts are made from soft fleece but the waist band is neoprene.
The Palm Equipment Horizon shorts have the same fit as a board short with a pretty relaxed fit. Length wise the shorts just below the knee which will help give a little bit of knee protection when sat in a boat.
Overall the fit is pretty good. Plenty of material where it is needed and not too much where it isn’t required. The ones pictured here are Aqua with orange highlights, but they are also available in Jet grey with aqua highlights.
