Shocking piece of news from another Confluence brand – Bomber Gear.
To the Bomber Gear community,
Rick Franken started Bomber Gear in 1992 with one goal in mind, to create innovative gear that was warm, dry, and comfortable. His passion for paddling and creating the best products in the world fueled Bomber Gear for 23 years.
As a company, we’ve weathered changes and have celebrated as our global paddling community pushed the limits of paddlesports. We are mindful of that heritage, and as we reflect on Rick’s incredible legacy, we announce today the difficult decision to cease production and distribution of Bomber Gear in 2016.
Team Unsponsored used Bomber Gear equipment for a number of years until they became very difficult to get hold of in the UK. It’s great to see Bomber Gear launching a new line of what looks like a range of very interesting gear.
The Palguin Series is the most innovative line of dry wear in paddlesports history. Featuring Polartec Neoshell fabric, the Palguin series from Bomber Gear keeps you Dry 365.
Yak are delighted to announce that from 1st January 2015 Blue and White GmbH, the leading European distributor for paddle sports equipment, will be distributing the Yak brand in the German speaking area of Europe. This follows the presentation of the highly acclaimed new range of products from Yak at Paddle Expo 2014, which caused great excitement amongst the paddlers at the show.
On display were the new vibrant Whitewater, Touring and Recreational ranges, giving a taste of what to expect for the 2015 season, including a variety of buoyancy aids, cags and accessories.
The popular Whitewater kit is already available across the UK and Europe, to be followed in Spring 2015 by the release of the Touring and Recreational ranges. Blue and White will be one of the first to stock the kit in Europe. Continue reading

I’m currently a outdoor instructor for Kingswood, based at the Colomendy outdoor centre. What seems to be the perfect location, although I seem to of missed most of the rain due to other commitments. Still getting plenty of low water runs in and the odd bit of water too.
Another great run down from the guys at Rapid Media. This time a look at Bomber gear’s new dry suit and in particular their use of the neoshell material from Polartec. I used Bomber gear kit many years ago and loved it so am looking forward to trying this new bit of kit out later in the year.
