The Jewel of Virginia Whitewater

I would like to show you a little piece of the most committing and beautiful creek in Virginia. Bottoms Creek sits on top of Bent Mountain just outside of Roanoke. The gorge is carved out of Gneiss is a type of rock formed by high-grade regional metamorphic processes from pre-existing formations that were originally either igneous or sedimentary rocks. It creates perfect slides and classic cali whitewater drops in parts of the gorge.

    Very beautiful creek, the stone texture mentioned here makes it even more charming. a smooth run of the creek as well.
