Whitewater Helmet Ratings

Virginia Tech have released the 2022 test results of 24 whitewater helmets using the STAR evaluation system.

The helmets were tested on their ability to:

  • reduce linear acceleration
  • reduce rotational acceleration

and thus reduce the chance of concussion.

The results are very interesting.

Sweet Protection come out pretty well other than the Strutter. WRSI not so well.
