The sidewinder is probably the newest addition to the Palm Rivertec range. The cag is constructed from a soft feel breathable fabric and has double seals all round and a neoprene Velcro seal round the latex neck seal making it easy to put on and take off. The cuffs and elbows all have drains on them making them faster drying. The double waist band meshes very well as it is so deep – a good seal is easily achieved.

The inside of the two tube seals have been sewn with grippy elastic which is seen on many snow skirts in Mountain Jackets. This bonds well with your deck. An additional seal is provided by the waist draw cord,

After a few weeks of use the Sidewinder is still performing reasonably well. It still looks as good as the 1st time I saw it with no real visible signs of wear. The fabric has lost its water beading coat and so now does tend to hold the water. But this is to be expected and can easily be reversed with regular treatment with TX10 or similar.
