The UK Monsoon season continues to provide good summer paddling conditions across the North. Heavy down pours have once again produced some awesome paddling opportunities.
For Ant Shaw, Ryan Hargreaves and Tom Hainsworth this has meant some great boating in God’s own county – North Yorkshire.

A mash-up of the bits of footage I collected from two months of alpine and norwegian adventuring. An incredible journey with great company, fantastic paddling and more than a few genuine sightings of the notorious Brown Stoat. Didn’t film everything we did because who can be bothered with that, but this should give you a decent flavour. Thanks to everybody we met and paddled with along the way. Hope to catch you soon.

In late august Team Substantial loaded up the subies and headed straight north to northern BC. The grand canyon of the Stikine is known for some of the most substantial whitewater on planet earth. With a great crew, perfect flows, and sunny skies the crew set off on the most substantial whitewater multi-day ever.
It was a perfect set-up for good times, brown lines, and the first descent of Site Zed by Benny Marr, the only previously un-run rapid on the whole river. After a spirtitual and successful descent the boys cruised back to some of BC’s most classic runs such as Ashlu Box, Tatlow Creek, and Fear Canyon of the Elaho.
