Astral Rassler – First Look

I’ve been using my Five Ten Water Tennies for the last year + and really like them but also have a set of Astral Brewers which are great in my play boat. The Brewers dry much faster that the Water Tennies but don’t have the same level of protection or stiffness as the Water Tennies. The Rassler takes the Brewer and beefs it up for tougher walk ins/outs.

From Astral:

Designed especially for our true love…. Hiking in deep to run the gnar. The Rassler provides enhanced foot support, reinforced wear zones, and draining uppers. We stiffened our midsole a bit to control foot fatigue and power through Cali granite fields. Incredibly light and with STEALTH® outsoles. This one is a welcome relief from the current trend of moon boots on offer to real kayakers.

Astral

Astral shoes come with Five Ten’s Stealth sole. Stealth rubber is superb and has a good balance between grip and length of service I have it on the Five Tens I wear both on and off the water.

The Rasslers are definitely a bit stiffer than the Brewers and they feel as if they are made from tougher material. I’ll be using them throughout the rest of the year and will report back on how well they are holding up.
