EJ and The Zen 3.0 Hit The Russell Fork River

EJ and The Zen 3.0 Hit The Russell Fork River
EJ and The Zen 3.0 Hit The Russell Fork River

Used around the world by leading whitewater schools as an amazing teaching tool, the Zen 3.0 takes the attributes that made prior generations of the Zen a top pick and improved on them. The Zen 3.0 stays on top of the water and the bow lifts over and clears things better than any previous design. It is a dry, confidence-inspiring ride, especially when the river gets steep and keeping your bow up is important. The hull combines an amazingly fun Zen feel, with carving, gliding, and surfing, while adding a new level of stability to the platform. The ease of staying right side up is incredible, while the confidence it provides is welcome on any river. It boofs, surfs, and plugs…. versatility doesn’t mean compromise! Your new favorite river runner will also be your new favorite creek boat. The high volume design doesn’t get grabbed in squirrelly situations, and it wants to stay horizontal. This is an amazing platform for teaching beginners, while the biggest whitewater begs for this type of forgiveness. Measurements are for Zen Medium. Coming November 2019.

Wavesport Recon – Review

Darren Clarkson-King gives us a run down of why he is back in the Recon. Having owned and paddled one for a number of years I know exactly where he is coming from.

Wavesport Recon - Review
Wavesport Recon – Review

Ok so before I start let’s make one thing clear, I do paddle for wavesport. I’ve paddled many other designs over my 30+ years of making splashes and running rivers. Some boats I have loved, some I have hated. I’ve been assisted by brands, and I’ve been an ardent denier that sponsorship as a good thing. I’m lucky I paddle boats I like, boats I would use and have used outside of any financial gain.

The “QUEEN OF HEARTS”

Coming soon!

A whitewater boat for paddlers between 30 to 60kg, with characteristics similar to our successful Black Jack. The Queen is closing the gap in the market for a modern whitewater boat ideal for smaller and lighter people. The boat will be light, slender and the cockpit is low enough, so that kids and lighter people can sit and paddle ergonomically correct without the boat getting in the way. The mold is already being milled and we expect to deliver the first Queen of Hearts in February!

Tile Sticker

Tile is probably best known for those little bluetooth key rings that help you locate lost keys. How about a waterproof version that you could stick to the inside of your boat?

Tile have announced the Tile Sticker, which is a waterproof, has a 150ft/46m bluetooth range and is pretty small with a 27mm diameter.
