Prijon have just released their newest creeker. The Cocaine takes some of the features found in it’s previous creekers such as the Pure XL and Cali and have brought it right up to date to make it competitive against the newer designs that have hit the market in recent years.
So after many years of images grabbed from videos and the odd image caught of the mysterious Dagger Phantom at certain paddling spots around the world we have got two here at Unsponsored HQ.
These two are part of the first batch into the UK. Even though the image above appears to show two differently sized Phantoms they are in fact the same.

This new Soul Waterman 303 kayak looks like you would need wear safety gloves when you picked it up. This thing looks razor sharp.
Could this be my slicey boat for 2018? It reminds me a great deal of the Riot Glide/Slice with a modern twist.
I own a Dagger Jitsu. I like it, although like many playboats it has its fans and its detractors. Generally though it is regarded to have a good hull shape, and, frankly, I find it hard to fit into other models simply because I’m one of those awkward people who has long legs for their weight.

I’m not going to be world champion any time soon, and if I was to buy a ‘dream’ playboat I’d likely be buying a carbon one. But there’s one thing about the Jitsu that most who know it can agree on. It is a lot heavier than it needs to be. In fact this very same criticism can be levelled at pretty much any modern boat on the market today.

Here we have the new Astral Brewer 2.0 in Basalt Black. These are the next step in the evolution of the Astral Brewer. Although the two versions I have look very similar in many respects the 2.0 has taken on a more rounded and developed look. It definitely looks more like a “normal” shoe than the original Astral Brewer.
This shoe comes equipped with Astral’s proprietary super-sticky G Rubber outsole. My original pair came equipped with Five Ten’s stealth sole, however later iterations were also supplied with the super-sticky G Rubber.
We haven’t updated our GoPro comparison chart for some time due to the original spreadsheet being lost somewhere within the Unsponsored archives. So last night I typed the 2015 chart back into excel and have added details for the Hero (2018), Hero6, Hero5, and Hero5 Session.
We have a couple of the Hercules Auto-Swivel Yoke Hangers in for review at Unsponsored. These units are designed to hold guitars but I had seen them used by Werner a few years back at PaddleExpo. If they can hold a bass guitar they can handle a paddle.
