Last week I got a preview of the new Inside Out video from Palm Equipment. The video takes a close look at the process of designing and then making paddling gear.
Have you ever wondered how your paddling gear is made, how it’s designed, or what a laser cutter looks like? This short film from Palm Equipment takes you inside the factory, to explain the how, the where and the why of design and manufacturing.
Japan seems to offer a great deal to the outdoor loving sports person. It is definitely a place I would like to visit with both my kayak and mountain bike. Our friends over at Creative Adventure took a road trip out to Japan earlier this year. It looks epic.
Laura Farrell, Margaret Williams, Steve Augustine, Toby MacDermott and Erin Savage took a summer vacation up to Quebec. While the US was in a bit of a drought, Quebec was blessed with a particularly rainy summer. We got to hit some classics, as well as some lesser known runs.
In the summer of 2015 the Glanz Brothers were both up in Norway, but on separate trips with different groups. This video is the summery of two very wet, cold but successful trips to the classic creeks and rivers of Norway.
Many years ago Peak UK ran a series of events across the UK. All were based at whitewater courses across the UK.
It was so long ago many of the photographs were on film and are black & white! For many paddlers this was their first taste of competition. Quite a few have continued on to be part of Team GB.
Monday again. We hope your weekend was productive and enjoyable. An abrupt change from weekend to the working week is quite dangerous. Therefore for you own safety and sanity you may wish to view the following carefully selected edits.

A really nicely shot edit from Mr David Bain.
This years annual commute to Norway led us to paddle some of the notorious white water in the world as well as discovering some epic first descents made possible by the high level of snowfall. Travelling with David Bain, Oscar McBurney and Anton Immler we visit rivers which are off the standard path and venture deep in to the Scandinavian wilderness.
Gauley River Goods is a superb edit from Fall Line Canoes showing just some of the action from last weekends Gauley River Festival.
A little bit of Friday and Saturday on the Upper Gauley during Gauley Fest 2015.
Peak UK are celebrating 25 years in the business. To commemorate 25 exceptional years Peak UK has released some highlights from idiot5. idiot and idiot5 were massive when they were first released (on VHS tape?) many years ago. Well before the GoPro arrived on the scene. Check out the highlights from 25 years.
Great people, great designs and great gear. I raise my glass to Pete and the team. Well done!
