The Chelan Gorge in Washington looks like a seriously fun run. Plenty of nice drops, rock slides and places to watch the carnage.
The 0.4 mile long gorge is grade V-V+ with the crux move being Final Plunge at Entrance Exam.
Storm Desmond hit the UK hard last weekend with an unprecedented amount of rain falling in a very short time. Many rivers in the North were simply too high to paddle. However some of the smaller burns and creeks came into play pretty quickly. Martin Butler and crew were on Eggleston Burn last weekend making the most of the bad weather.
James Bebbington has created this just over 6 minutes masterpiece – SAS Hurley Classic Highlights. It is superb. Jame certainly has a knack for this sort of thing.

Team Substantial spent another summer in the great land of the Midnight Sun. We were graced with perfect flows, amazing scenery, a great crew and too many rivers/waterfalls to count! In this episode watch as Evan Garcia runs the infamous “Matze’s Drop”, the boys paddle the Stor Ula slides, and a sunny day on the Skøli.
We have had some series rain over the last month here in the North East of England. The water table is topped up and it doesn’t take much to get the rivers flowing high.
The River Tees from High Force to Low Force isn’t that #sTEESy at high levels. Mathew Wilkinson takes a dip and swims with a little help to safety.
The Stikine for years has been considered the pinnacle of big volume expedition kayaking, however for years the Site Zed rapids remained un-run. Now years later after Ben Marr broke the spell, finally taking on the beast, the worlds best paddlers have had it in their sights.
I had been lucky enough to witness 6 descents of the beast. It looked real good at these flows but still not been my time! one day!
More movie madness for Movie Monday 30 November 2015. A great mix of movies can be found right here to ease you into your first hours of work this Monday morning. Enjoy!

Most of the kayaking videos we see focus solely on the action side of things. This edit from Zac Ruttiman also gives us the lifestyle perspective. I love it.
A view into the lifestyle side of a kayak trip. Come for a ride down the Grand Canyon of the Chlore near Terrace, B.C. and meet some of the people who love to kayak. This video won the Lifestyle Category in the 2015 Aquabatics Film Competition. Enjoy.
Mama Russia 2 is the second in the series from SBP. Great editing showing some crazy whitewater action.
