Kokatat Rogue Dry Top – First Look

The Kokatat GORE-TEX® Rogue is the industry benchmark for performance paddling dry tops. Backed by Kokatat’s limited lifetime warranty.

The body of the dry top is made from 3.21 oz 3 layer Gore Tex Pro with 330 Cordura Gore Tex Pro shoulder and sleeves.

The neck and wrist are sealed with latex gaskets and punch through neoprene outers.

I.e. There is no adjustment possible on the neoprene cones. This is a system I prefer over Velcro adjusted options.

Even the inner tunnel is made from Gore Tex Pro. In this case it is a slighter lighter weight materal.

The Rogue has one zipped pocketed located on the right hand side of the chest.

It also has a short lanyard inside and is self draining thanks to a large mesh panel at its base.

Waist seal duties are taken care of by two large Velcro adjustment straps.

Seams have been strategically placed to ensure that they are away from areas that take a pounding while paddling.

At £500 the Kokatat Rogue Dry Top is undoubtedly expensive and you will be very lucky to find on sale. But first impression are good and the dry top is backed by Kokatat’s legendary limited lifetime warranty and backup service.

I plan to use this top extensively over the autumn/winter and will have a full review online very soon.
