The Palm Equipment Poncho Grande is designed to make getting changed at the beginning or end of a paddle session a little more comfortable for innocent bystanders. As well as being more comfortable for the user who is getting changed. No more slipping towels or bare backsides.
Palm have taken the idea of the changing robe and taken it up a notch. The Palm Equipment Poncho Grande is a weatherproof ripstop changing robe with a microfleece towel lining. The lining and the outer are sewn together in a grid pattern.
It comes with a decent sized hood and a kangaroo pocket up front. It is even big enough to wear over paddling gear.
Large arm holes results in a bit of gear that is easy to get on and off.
We have had this a few weeks now and have used it on several occasions. So far so good. We will have a detailed review landing shortly.
RRP on these is just shy of £70 but they can be found for less. Palm also do a standard Poncho that doesn’t have the waterproof outer layer for around £40.
