Spend your time touring around the ancient sights of Kathmandu from the spectacular Dhurba Palace to playing with the monkeys at the famous Swaymbhunath Stupa (aka ‘Monkey Temple’).

Then venture out into the wild waters of Nepal. Hone your skills and group work as you’ll stay overnight on the warm waters of the leisurely Trisuli river, where rafting originated in Nepal. Once acquainted with the Nepali white water, test your skills and daring to conquer the mighty Kali Gandaki on a 3 day white water expedition! This river, named after the god of destruction, is known for 60 rapids in 60 minutes and is always a tour highlight! With pretty continuous grade 3 rapids, some very notable high grade 4 (such as Big Brother, Rafter’s Refund, and Morning Glory) and ending on a chilled out jade green flatwater, there is something for everyone on this 3 day excursion. Finishing up the days on stunning white river beaches, sitting round the campfire, having a beer and good local food while gazing up at the stars.

Once you’ve taken on the mighty Kali Gandaki you’ll be in need of some good R&R. Sirubari is nestled away in a rural part of Nepal. A mighty medieval styled village which almost seems cut off from the world will welcome you with open arms. You’ll stay with the local families, join family meals and enjoy the festivities. While here why not take a half day trek to the top of a mountain to see the Yogies living there and the spectacular views of the Himalayas! During the final evening in Sirubari, the group will be guests of honour at their ‘Cultural Evening’ where the village turns out to sing and dance. The local youth group always puts on a fantastic display of dancing, and joining in is mandatory!

Fully rested and recovered you may have the energy to wake up early and take an epic hike to Pokhara, or maybe the 4×4 jeep sounds like a more ideal way to travel. Whatever you decide you’ll finish in Pokhara with a day to explore and try out your shopping skills while resting up for an early morning. Up not so bright but definitely early to beat the crowds to the top of Sarangkot to get the best spot for the sun rising above the Annapurna Mountain Range. This is an experience you will never forget, the Annapurna Mountains slowly get etched into the sky – then BOOM – the mountains are showered in colour as the sun slowly rises above horizon. What could be a better way to finish the epic 13 day adventure? Take the rest of the day to explore more of Pokhara, eat more food, haggle and shop or even hire a boat and paddle out on the lake before heading back to Kathmandu the next day to head home.
