This is our secret to learning new tricks. We create a safety net for eachother to allow us to try complex manoeuvres without the fear of loosing our boards. Alot of the best waves are not exactly forgiving downriver of said wave. Skook for example has an incredible amount of volume, and the boils, seams and whirlpools behind the wave are powerful. Its not a place we would like to be without a board. So we take turns retrieveing the board for eachother and delivering it to the swimmer so we both can get to shore safely.
