After a really long and cold winter up here in Quebec, we were pretty excited to hit the road, head south and finally escape from this endless winter blues. We got pretty lucky with the water levels and managed to hit some local classics in North Carolina and West Virginia. Huge thanks to all the people who helped us Quebexicans hitting the right creeks and the rights lines on the water as well. We met some incredible paddlers along the way.

A little recap from this weekends Greenings with two of my favorite boats the LiquidLogic Stinger and LiquidLogic Flying Squirrel. Was also lucky enough to get my personal first longboat decent of Gorilla.
Excited to be back paddling and back on the Green after suffering a rib injury before the Green Race. This time though, things are a bit different. Picked up a new LiquidLogic Flying Squirrel and man is this thing sweet. It’s got so much speed and glide to it, it just makes running the Green that much cooler.
A great edit from Clay Lucas showing us what the Pyranha 9r can do. Continue reading

A nice edit from David Fusilli putting the new Pyranha 9r through its paces.
The maximum length of boats for the short boat class in races such as the Green Narrows river race is now 9ft and earlier this month Pyranha unveiled the 9R at the summer OR show. In all likelihood this will be the length of the next crop of boats over the next few years (A totally Unsponsored prediction).
The local run with some serious ice. It’s always beautiful down there but the icicles and snow definitely add something special.
Frozen Green River from Nick Ianniello on Vimeo.

Another great edit from Shane Benedict.
What a summer we are having. Its August 8th and the river is cranking. Tuxedo hydro plant is running 2 Units at 100% capacity and the lake is 100.6. That means a 6″ slab of water is rolling over the dam.
