After a recent forced swim I was interested in how heavy my boat was when it was filled with water.<\/p>\n<p>I currently have a couple of liquid logic boats \u2013 a Stomper 90 and a Biscuit 65. The Stomper has a volume of 90 gallons or approximately 341 litres. Therefore the 170.5 litres of water in the boat has a mass of 170.5 kg. This gives a total mass including the actual boat (21 kg) of 191.5 kg. This by any measure is heavy and puts the importance of using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=sporting&#038;field-keywords=palm+kayak+float&#038;rh=n:3375251,k:palm+kayak+float&#038;linkCode=ll2&#038;tag=unsponsored-20&#038;linkId=3819f751a6e7f9b9e6add6213d61c15a&#038;language=en_US\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">airbags<\/a> into perspective. It also explains why the boat was so heavy when I was hauling it out of the River Tees a few weeks ago!<\/p>\n<p>I now have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=sporting&#038;field-keywords=palm+kayak+float&#038;rh=n:3375251,k:palm+kayak+float&#038;linkCode=ll2&#038;tag=unsponsored-20&#038;linkId=3819f751a6e7f9b9e6add6213d61c15a&#038;language=en_US\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Palm Infinity bags<\/a> in both the bow and stern of my creek boat.
