I spent a fair bit of time on the Yak<\/a> stand talking to the guys about their range of products, the design team and the direction the company wants to move in. To say I was impressed would be an understatement.<\/p>\n

Put it simply they want to make the best designed and functional kayaking\/canoeing gear available and with the 2015\/2016 line up they may have just smashed it.<\/p>\n

\"Yak<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We’ve tested a couple of pieces of Yak equipment for almost a year now and they have been hammered yet have still come back wanting more. The Greenburg PFD<\/a> shown here shares much of its DNA with the Hallertau PFD<\/a> which has become a firm favourite with Team Unsponsored. The main difference between the Hallertau and the Greenburg is the that the latter does not have a rescue harness.<\/p>\n

\"Yak<\/a><\/p>\n

The Greenburg opens at the front via the contrasting chunky lime green and blue zip. Plenty of strap adjustment can be found on the Greenburg. Getting a good safe fit is extremely easy. Releasing the straps with the little pull tabs taken from the Crewsaver commercial line of products means that the Greenburg is also really easy to take off.<\/p>\n

\"Yak<\/a><\/p>\n

The Greenburg is a 70N PFD has more storage places than you can shake a stick and is super comfortable to wear. Reflective details are positioned in key areas and tabs on the front\/back of the PFD allow for light sticks or similar to be fastened into place. The Greenburg even has a very large hydration pocket that will quite happily accept a 3L hydration bladder.<\/p>\n

If you were after a high quality PFD but didn’t require a one fitted with a rescue harness then the Greenburg would be well worth investigating.<\/p>\n
