The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VZJgvF\" target=\"_blank\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VZJgvF\" target=\"_blank\">APC Ring<\/a><\/a> is a fat anodised aluminium O-ring for your PFD chest harness providing an easy to recognise attachment point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of ordering there wasn&#8217;t any detail on the how strong this ring actually was. First Look<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first time I knew its rating was when I noticed it etched onto the side of the ring itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So for clarity the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2VZJgvF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Palm APC Ring<\/a> specifications are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Anodised blue<\/li><li>7075 aluminium<\/li><li>31 g<\/li><li>12 kN <strong>maximum<\/strong> breaking strength <\/li><li>48 mm internal diameter (id)<\/li><li>9 mm bar diameter<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I have since looked at a number of online retailers who have this relatively new item listed.  Most do not have the the breaking strength listed and at least one has it listed as 21kN.
