Updating following the correct process will ensure that the wifi app and camera will sync and you will also have an opportunity to set your own wifi password. Both have there firmware updated every time there is a new release.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>All of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/search\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;index=aps&#038;keywords=gopro&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=unsponsocouk-21\" target=\"_blank\">GoPros<\/a> are fitted with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/search\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;index=aps&#038;keywords=gopro&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=unsponsocouk-21\" target=\"_blank\">GoPro Floating Back Door<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.co.uk\/e\/ir?t=unsponsocouk-21&#038;l=as2&#038;o=2&#038;a=B005HIS5LQ\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> when they are used on my boat or helmet.  The OEM floaty backdoors are supplied with a door and float.  The door will fit all of the currently available GoPros.  But I have also been trying out a <a href=\"http:\/\/rover.ebay.com\/rover\/1\/710-53481-19255-0\/1?ff3=4&#038;pub=5575057839&#038;toolid=10001&#038;campid=5337383580&#038;customid=&#038;mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fitm%2FFloaty-LifeJacket-for-GoPro-Cameras-Floating-accessory-for-backdoor-%2F181197235358%3Fpt%3DLH_DefaultDomain_3%26hash%3Ditem2a3032649e\" target=\"_blank\">float that I have attached<\/a> to one of the doors I already have.  This seems to be working well and is half the price. They also all have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unsponsored.co.uk:\/press\/?p=5142\" title=\"Modified GoPro Leash System\" target=\"_blank\">leash system <\/a>fitted as a backup.<\/p>\n<p>I find the WiFi system useful and although I own a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/search\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;index=aps&#038;keywords=gopro&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=unsponsocouk-21\" target=\"_blank\">WiFi Remote &#8211; Hero 2 and 3<\/a> it is rarely used.  I tend to use the iOS app more than anything else but this will only connect with one camera at a time. However I do plan to use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/search\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;index=aps&#038;keywords=gopro&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=unsponsocouk-21\" target=\"_blank\">WiFi Remote<\/a> a little more when I am lining up shots for multiple cameras and setting them &#8220;off&#8221; at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>All of my cameras also have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/search\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;index=aps&#038;keywords=gopro&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=unsponsocouk-21\" target=\"_blank\">GoPro Anti-Fog Insert<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.co.uk\/e\/ir?t=unsponsocouk-21&#038;l=as2&#038;o=2&#038;a=B003JBVX5S\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> fitted.  I&#8217;ve tried various alternatives but find (reluctantly) that the GoPro ones are the best.<\/p>\n<p>I tend to carry at least one spare battery and have opted for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B00AAIPVH4\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=unsponsocouk-21&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;creativeASIN=B00AAIPVH4\" target=\"_blank\">Wasabi Battery for the Hero 3<\/a>. They help protect the lens on both the camera and the case so are well worth the money.<\/p>\n<p>I use a flat mount on the bow of each of my boats and a curved mount on my helmet.
