The Putumayo region, in southern Colombia, is full of rivers. This April 2015, we finally made a trip there. For the first pass, we decided to settle base in the town of Mocoa, strategically located near easy access rivers.
Here is a short movie of the Rio Villalobos and Rio Caqueta we ran during the first few days ! Nice surf waves, but also BIG whitewater ! Rain was abundant which made for an excellent preparation for our next expedition : the first descent of the Rio Putumayo !
