Sick Line 3 is the long awaited sequel from Olaf Obsommer and Jens Klatt. Available on DVD Sick Line 3 lasts 63 minutes and includes (as extras) Sick Line 1 & 2. Not a bad deal at all.
Sick Line 3 has an all star line up including;
Arnd Shaftlen, Francesco Salvato, Corran Addison, Ben Brown, Deb Pinneger, Cheesy, Mikey Abbott and Ellan Allard and more.
If you want high class creeking from New Zealand, Central Europe, and Norway then Sick Line fits the bill.
The movie starts off with an interesting section of really really old school boating from 40-60 years ago. This shows some of the big water folk were running way back in canvas kayaks.
The central Europe section kick off with runs in Austria that include;
Otztaler Ache – Wellerbrucke (Class V)
Unteralbach Canyon (Class V)
Defreregen Bach – Waterfall Canyon (Class V)
and the Rhienfall
The section filmed in Italy will seem familiar in parts to some as the footage comes from the the Upper Sorba (Class V-VI) with Corran Addison which can be seen in End Game. Action on the San Giovanni (Class V+) shows some lucky escapes and scrapes!
The action from New Zealand centres around the boating culture out there which in places detracts attention away from the awesome streches of water theses guys are paddling.
The Norwegian chapter kicks off with some big action with huge waterfalls and creek runs. The first few minutes of the chapter just shows what a top class venue Norway has become in recent years. This for me is the best part of the DVD. The action is well edited and varied enough to keep you interested.
There is no doubt the action, videoing and editing is excellent.The music is OK and shouldn’t offend many! Like I said earlier if you like watching top clas boaters running big steep water then this DVD is for you.
Its a good movie thats definitely worth looking out for.
