Mid-July we left towards Southern Asia and joined an international group of kayakers to go and explore the whitewater in Tibet. Being known as the roof of the world and containing the tallest mountains in the world left us to wonder what rivers must lie deep in the heart of the Himalayas.
There has been a lot of expeditioning going on in countries like Nepal or India, but there are still a lot of places, rivers, and countries which haven’t necessarily been on the list of kayaking expeditions. There have been a few trips to Tibet done by kayakers, the most famous one probably being Scott Lindgrens and Steve Fishers trip to the Tsang Po, but the eastern part still largely remains untouched, just waiting to be explored. So we followed the call and sent it to Tibet.

British kayak manufacturer Gaybo Limited (Uckfield, East Sussex, UK), marks a mile stone 50th anniversary with the announcement of the successful purchase of kayak brand Wave Sport from Confluence Outdoors (Greenville, SC, USA).
Dagger is 30 years old and to celebrate Dagger Kayaks have a limited release of the RPM and RPM Max with Countour Ergo Outfitting. They are also releasing a limited number of kayaks in a colour scheme they are calling Red Dawn.
A change of car has forced me to seek out a new set of roofbars. I wanted the best set of roof bars for my car without going silly on the cost. This time I have went for the Thule Wing bars (aka Aeroblades in the USA). I love cars that can have a set of roof bars bolted to them, either to fittings hidden within the roof or roof rails.

Prijon have recently released some images of the new Prijon 2B Duo/Tandem kayak. As with all Prijon kayaks the 2B is blow moulded and starts life as a tube.
