Ten Waterfalls For Macmillan

Ten Waterfalls for Macmillan follows Richard Brinkmann on his quest to raise funds for a new Cancer research centre in Brighton. Well worth a watch and a great cause.

Ten Waterfalls for Macmillan

After being diagnosed with cancer and receiving major surgery which severed many of the nerves in my neck, shoulder and arm. I was told that it was unlikely I’d ever be able to kayak again and more likely that I wouldn’t beat the disease. I decided there had to be another option for me and began working on a short film project to raise money for a new Cancer centre in Brighton. I am still paddling four years on.

That is a cool project. After my throat throat cancer treatment I was down to 65 Kg (or up to 65 after getting down to 60 ) so I dragged out the computer plans for the 65 kg paddler weight sprint K1 I said I would never do. . Gee it is fast. Sometimes you just need a something to focus on. Especially if you can’t swallow for a few months.
