Last week saw a delivery of Peak UK gear at Unsponsored HQ. This included the Peak UK River Guide Vest PFD.
We first saw the new line up of gear from Peak UK bask in 2015 at the Paddle Expo in Germany. To say we were impressed was on understatement. One of the designs on display was an updated version of the very popular River Guide vest, and it is this very item that we have in for review at the moment.
The River Guide Vest as the name would suggest is an over the head PFD. It has all of the features you’d expect in a modern river running PFD including chest harness and plenty of storage.
The one thing (or many things) that really stands out on the River Guide Vest is the number of pockets on the front. All are really easy to access with good quality zips and each has at least one clip in each for your gear.
There is also plenty of adjustment both inside and outside of the PFD.
D rings are present both sides of the PFD which is great if you have a preference on where you’d like to clip in your cowtail (not supplied). All D Rings are also split to allow for quick release.
