Unsponsored’s little brother River has been very quiet of late. It turns out he has been working on a little winter edit focussing on his love of his Liquidlogic Stinger kayak. In Longboats For Life – Local Length, River takes us on a journey through the joy of owning and paddling a big boat, they aren’t just for flat water touring you know!
The Putumayo region, in southern Colombia, is full of rivers. This April 2015, we finally made a trip there. For the first pass, we decided to settle base in the town of Mocoa, strategically located near easy access rivers.

On a last minute whim, I decided to book a ticket down to Mexico for the 2015 Alseseca Race. It turned out to be one of my favorite paddling trips ever. The rivers are gold in Mexico if your a kayaker!
Boof Sisters
The Boof Sisters on a roadtrip in Québec (Québexico)…a tribute to Esquif canoes.
Molly’s Nipple, one of the most Iconic rapids on the Slave. The story is that one of the early paddlers on this river had met a local girl named Molly and one day, while laying on the rocks next to the drop, he decided it somehow looked like one of her nipples… I don’t see it but you’ll just have to check it out in person!
The Boost is Vajda’s newest composite playboat. Vajda have a strong following not only in the whitewater slalom community but also within the freestyle/playboating world and I suspect that the new boost will be a hit.
The new Vajda Boost first video from Platling was created by Peter Csonka. It really shows what can be achieved when you combine cutting edge design with composite materials.
Here is my entry for the 2015 video contest at Talulah Fest. Blessed to be able to live such a fun lifestyle, kayaking is the best! Huge thanks to anyone I’ve paddled with this year or anyone who has helped me along the way. Keep charging and having a good time out there!

After spending an extended time in South Africa kayaking the goods, team Expedition Inception explored the rivers of Zimbabwe. With a lack of rain EI had to leave Zimbabwe and made it to the Zambezi just in time for the last day of number 11’s world class barreling wave, along with some big ass rapids.
