We bought this HF Little Fish Throwbag a week or so ago and reckon it is about time we posted a first look.

The HF Little Fish throwbag is small. You would expect it to be given that it contains only 9m of 7.5mm floating rope. This puts it in the position of being longer than a bought rescue tape but shorter than most throw bags currently on the market.

The HF Little Fish retails at £25.

The HF Weasel (almost the same price at £30) has 18m of 7.5mm floating rope.

Reverse of the HF Weasel and HF Little Fish

The Little Fish moves away from HF’s normal cylindrical shape and uses a tapered envelope form that is wider at the top than it is at the bottom.

A compact bag

The bag is small enough to be tucked into a large PFD pocket, but it also has belt loops to attach it to a rescue belt if required.

All of the major seams have been bound.

Quite often a throw bag is really well packed when you get it from the shop. After a few throws and repacking it never quite returns to its original packed size and can even be a pain to fasten. This isn’t the case here. Although it’s not the quickest to repack due to its size, when packed there is still plenty of room and it is easy to fasten back up.

Will it replace my Palm Rescue Tape?
