Leif creates some really nice edits and this one is no exception.

Rockem Sockem is the name of a rapid and a wave on the Slave river. The wave is good at low water (about 3400-3500 cms) which is usually in the fall. It’s a very dynamic and steep wave, offering some good air. The good pocket of the wave is accessed by surfing through the “penalty box” (or by hiking and dropping in from above). The penalty box is a vicious little pocket of a hole that dishes out some beatings (see this video vimeo.com/112213319 for solid penalty box time), but surfing the main wave makes it all worthwhile. Superb drone work from Demshitz and an awesome feature.
About three weeks ago myself and Jared Seiler were invited to test the flow and features at the Holtwood kayak Park. We surfed the features at a variety of flows from 700cfs to about 1600cfs. A happy flow here at Holtwood is between 800-1100cfs. The top feature is a very fast wave. You have to be ready top fly on this feature, setting up can be a little tricky. The next feature is a fast wave hole and the last one is a perfect little V wave. Great shoulders on both sides, perfect for a good front surf or even an air blunt. Enjoy! Continue reading
Some quality beatdowns in this great edit from Leif Anderson.
