My GoPro Mission 1 Pro arrived today along with the new Point and Shoot Grip.

Underneath the paper wrapping was….

The GoPro Mission 1 Pro with all of its specs on the box.

Inside of this the packaging is recycled and hold the camera, curved mount, battery, hood, USB C – C cable and QR clip in place.

The camera has a couple of protective stickers attached.

I have the Quik app on my phone so once the camera was unwrapped and the battery/SD Card installed the camera connected quickly and completed a firmware update.

It does look like a door. I could imagine that even with the warning sticker someone could end up ripping the cover off.
The hood is made from a hard rubber material and is a snug fit.

The camera is noticeably heavier than my GoPro Hero 13 Black. If you are mounting this on a kayak or using a chest mount the weight difference isn’t worth worrying about. If mounted on a helmet it may well be a different matter. I’ll have to report back on this.

With the cage from the Point and Grip accessory attached.

The camera came with one Enduro 2 battery in the box. Enduro 2 battery is compatible with the GoPro Hero 13. Given the price of the camera it would have been better if two batteries were supplied especially as the Enduro 2 is not widely available as yet.

The Enduro 2 battery has a capacity of 2150mAh compared to the 1900mAh capacity of the Enduro battery from the Hero13. It’s wroth noting that the lower capacity Enduro batteries from the Hero13 will also work in the Mission series of cameras.
The battery had 27% charge on arrival. The battery is compatible with the Dual Battery Charger for the Hero13 Black which I already have.

As with all GoPro cameras the mounting system remains the same. This ensures that all of the mounts that you may have will play happily with the GoPro Mission 1 series.
