Go to any event or any other large gathering of paddlers and you’ll be guaranteed to spot loads of folk wearing a Shred Ready standard. There are a number of good reasons for this.
The Shred Ready standard isn’t super expensive (around £50) which makes it cheaper than the majority of modern design helmets on the market. The helmet is a one size fits all design which makes it ideal for clubs, and individuals alike – As long as your head isn’t super small or uber large the standard will fit. To get the correct fit the helmet comes supplied with a number of shims that are velcro’d into place and are easy to mix and match. In addition the helmet also has Shred Ready’s Hand Of God (HOG) system which really helps to keep the helmet in place. Finally the coverage offered by the standard is very good.
The standard is manufactured from ABS plastic. Although a carbon deluxe variant can be also be purchased but this more than doubles the price in some cases.
