A Sweet Protection Rocker has been in the Unsponsored gear bag for a number of years. Mine is nice and simple gloss white number which I really get on well with. This Sweet Protection Rocker however is a two tone metallic affair. Metallic white top and metallic red lower. Even the visor matches.
Brand new from Sweet Protection for 2018 are the Shazam Shorts. The neoprene lined Shambala shorts are still in the range for 2018.
Sweet Protection have just shared some of their new line up with Unsponsored. This includes some new gear, design changes and some colour updates.
First up is the 2018 Sweet Strutter.
Peak UK added a stainless steel ring to some of their throwline bags a few years ago.

Over the last few months I have had quite a few Watershed Drybags in for review. As part of the packaging the bags all come complete with two heavy duty elastic bands. If you are old enough and from the UK (may be the same in other countries too) these bands are very similar to the ones you got when you went to a public swimming pool.

Believe it or not the Sweet Protection Strutter helmet has been around for 20 years, and 2017 marks the 20th anniversary. The Strutter was first made in 1997, that is even before Sweet protection actually existed. We’ve had at least one of the Strutter models at Unsponsored HQ from the very start.
To celebrate 20 years Sweet have released a couple of limited edition models of the Strutter. Both helmets are based around the latest iteration of the Strutter which was released in 2012. Since its first release the Strutter has significantly evolved.
A surprise parcel landed at Unsponsored HQ this week, a brand new 2017 Palm Impact spray skirt. We’ve had an older one of these in at the HQ a couple of years back and it proved to be an awesome skirt.
The Palm Impact spray skirt is Palm’s top end bungee corded offering.
For 2017 Palm have updated the design so that it now includes a few tweaks.
Brian Vermillion recently got his hands on the new Pyranha Machno (small) and took it down the Cheoah.
Cheoah release was last Saturday, and I was lucky enough to get a full lap in while testing out the Pyranha Machno. I chose to use the Machno small, which ended up being the perfect size for me. At 5’5” and 150lbs the small Machno at 73 gallons was perfect for this gem of a run.
