It looks like there may be new Waka Kayaks prototype out in the wild. Many thanks to Waka Watcher for the hot tip.
Shown in this edit from The Lammlers.
The Ladakh River Festival takes place on the Indus River (India) on August 19 to 20th 2017. This is the worlds highest kayaking competition.
Here in Ladakh we have amazing, world class whitewater kayaking – big rivers, huge rapids, cold water and all in an environment like nowhere else in the world.
Pat Keller talks us through the new Liquidlogic Delta V kayak.
Welcome to Movie Monday 24 July 2017. We got some new and some older edits. Some short and some quite long. A mix for all to enjoy (I hope).
Bren Orton catches some great lines while kayaking the lower Rauma.
Epic day kayaking on the Lower Rauma at high flows, this river is so incredibly sick! Check it out!
I can’t show you guys all of the shots that we took that day because we’re saving them for a longer edit that is coming out in about 3 weeks! Keep your eyes peeled because it is going to be sick!
Welcome to Movie Monday 17 July 2017. Hopefully you will find the following edits agreeable.
Enjoy!
One of the great things about Unsponsored HQ is its location. July every year sees the return of the Stockton Cycling Festival, and I can watch the road race from my front room.
Here are just a few shots from today.
Over the last few months I have had quite a few Watershed Drybags in for review. As part of the packaging the bags all come complete with two heavy duty elastic bands. If you are old enough and from the UK (may be the same in other countries too) these bands are very similar to the ones you got when you went to a public swimming pool.
Do you remember that dream? The scary one where you are falling and falling into an endless abyss, dropping farther and faster until …
Do you dare to dream?
Believe it or not the Sweet Protection Strutter helmet has been around for 20 years, and 2017 marks the 20th anniversary. The Strutter was first made in 1997, that is even before Sweet protection actually existed. We’ve had at least one of the Strutter models at Unsponsored HQ from the very start.
To celebrate 20 years Sweet have released a couple of limited edition models of the Strutter. Both helmets are based around the latest iteration of the Strutter which was released in 2012. Since its first release the Strutter has significantly evolved.
We just got to the Sjoa area and met up with our friend Martin Vollen. We waisted no time heading to his local river, the Skjoli.
This river is so fast and continuous and with so many lines it honestly feels like less of a river and more of one 40 minute long rapid. Keep Calm And Follow Uncle Marty – Following Martin down this river makes it a much less stressful experience and Jakob Hanoulle got the star treatment by being able to follow and have the lines explained to him by Martin. Adrian liked the river but was most stoked on the “FOLDABLEROOFRACKS!?!?”.
