Super satisfying day out on the Williams in Terrace, cut a gnarly log out of one of our favourite rapids…. then we all sent a high water lap to appreciate our handy work! Continue reading

Corsica seems to be the place to be in 2014. Another great edit showing what this island has to offer.
Buen comienzo de temporada con una sesion de kayak en la isla de Corsica (Francia). Niveles de agua bajos, pero siempre un lugar increĆble!
Good start off season with a session of some kayaking days in Corsica (France). Low water levels but always an amazing place! Continue reading

The first of the 2014 Unsponsored Q&A series has landed.
First up is Tom Parker. Tom Parker of Tomparkercoaching.co.uk is one of the UK’s most talented and experienced white water kayakers and coaches. With over 20 years experience on the water Tom has kayaked in around the world.
Tom started his coaching and guiding business in 2005 with the aim being to offer high level technical coaching in white water kayaking, comprising of skills courses in the UK and Europe, coach and leadership education and development, along with the full range of BCU courses.
As a talented boater and coach I was excited that Tom agreed to take part in the 2014 Q&A series. Enjoy….
How did you first get into kayaking? Who introduced you to the sport?
Me and a load of my mates had just moved up into scouts from the cubs. Around the same time, the troop were putting a kayaking course on. I wasn’t too keen but my mates convinced me and it turned out to be quite fun.
Nick Pearce gives us his views on the Kokatat Meridian Drysuit (Goretex).
So, for the last 6 months I have been using the very well tried-and-tested Kokatat GoreTeX Meridian drysuit. Before this suit I used an array of dry suits from the likes of Palm and Level 6.
Markkleeberg XXL paddle festival- Pyranha Euro Team Tour 2014 from Pyranha on Vimeo.
The first stop of this years team tour was at Markkleeberg, Germany for the XXL paddle festival. Here is a short edit from the guys at the event.
The WWGP 2014 went off…I was so lucky that my leg healed in time to get re-invited and compete in the sickest event in Whitewater kayaking. Can’t believe I am where I am right now walking away from two successful weeks of paddling hard in Quebec! I’m stoked to drop a quick little Go Pro edit of the highlights from my trip out here featuring: The Nielson, Basse Casi, Shawinagin, SAP, Ottawa, Mistassini, Mistassibi, and The Rouge rivers…I can’t thank Tribe Rider/Pat Cambin enough for making such a cool event happen…and all the boys who helped me rip it up out here. LP the Wolf, Marcos Gallegos, The Serrasolses Bros, The Quebec Connection, and everyone else who made this two weeks go off…Enjoy the edit. Continue reading
Fluid have been working hard developing their new range of outfitting. A great deal of attention has been given to making a system that is easily adapted, relatively light weight yet at the same time remaining highly effective.
Situated on the East side of Africa, Kenya was rumored to be a whitewater kayaking meca. After a short trip there last November I was very keen to go back and explore more rivers. Chris, Sim and myself had three days of exploring with one highlight being a first decent of a perfect 20 meter waterfall on the Nyamindi river.
Nyamindi (First Decent)
Basing out of Savage Wilderness our days were full of exploring sections that had been run and sections that where fresh for the ticking. The rain was pouring every night and the rivers were perfect. Continue reading
