Continue readingWaka kayaks have released two new kayaks for 2021, the Wee Goat and Billy Goat.
The Billy Goat is a creeker/river runner and the Wee Goat a lower rear volume river runner with a slicey stern.
The Billy Goat is 268cm in length with a 65 cm width. Weight sits at 20kg with a suggested paddler weight in the 50 to 95kg range. The volume of the Billy Goat is 330 litres.

Continue readingThe Mamba has been around since 2005 with a major revamp in 2012. The Code is Dagger’s newest kayak and has been designed to take the place of the Mamba in the line up.
In following table I have listed the three main sizes of the kayaks and matched although some of the dimensions of a say a middle of the size range Mamba could also be easily compared against the smallest Code.
Continue readingA few weeks back I posted some images of a new boat being paddles by new Dagger Kayaks paddler Sage Donnelly. At the time I hypothesised that it could likely be a replacement for the long serving Mamba. Many online suggested that this couldn’t be the case and it must just be a smaller Phantom.
However it looks like I was right on the mark with details of the Dagger Code being leaked online by a number of retailers in several countries. As yet details are not available on the Dagger site.
It looks very similar to the Phantom but from the side profile it was clear that this kayak is a different beast.
