It’s Monday and you are at Unsponsored so it must be Movie Monday. Welcome to Movie Monday 12 February 2018.

Enjoy!
Myself (not me but Bren Orton) and Adrian are currently living in an African village… next to one of the best big waves in the world.

There are lots of great parts to living in the village from the friendly neighbours, stoked kids, pets and cost of living but the best part is how close we are to the legendary Nile Special wave.
Check out the video to see more.
The Royal Flush is on its way. The new kayak will be 276cm long, and 67cm wide. This means the Royal Flush is not designed to fit in the sub 9ft racing category.

Welcome to Movie Monday 5 February 2018 at Unsponsored. We’ve got another fine selection of edits for you to have a go at.

Enjoy!
Guigui Prod have released this promo video showing the new Shinobi in action. The Shinobi is a composite creeker.

The design of the hull has come about through the collaboration of Guigui Prod and the Easy Kayak Team.
2018 looks like it is going to be a good year. The new MixMaster from Jackson Kayak looks like it will shred. Can’t wait to try one.

Flying Unicorns at the NRF Big Air Ramp comp – The first day of the Nile River Festival competition was hilarious. Chilled out big air ramp comp into the lake just after registration for the main events had taken place. We caw some big airscrews, wipeouts and some hilarious inflatable unicorn flips.

Looking forward to the rest of the comp and the whitewater events over the weekend.
The Problem With Bomb Proof Rolls – I think instructors who perpetuate the concept of a “bomb-proof” roll do their students a disservice.
First of all, there really is no such thing as a “bomb-proof” roll. The term alludes to a roll that’s so reliable, and so fine-tuned, that it never fails. That’s misleading and unrealistic. Every experienced instructor knows that given sufficient “conditions”, everyone eventually bails and swims – and in fact, the best paddlers I know have all taken swims at one time or another.

Welcome to Movie Monday 29 January 2018 here at Unsponsored HQ.

How cold has your weekend been? Enjoy!
