Another great video from my friend Sam Ellis. Charging hard in God’s Own County.
So the rains finally came!! After work Monday night got a run on Aysgill Force and a swollen Swale. Footage was too dark for rest of the Swale but I assure there weren’t any other place I would of rather been.
Enjoy
Cheers

Kayaking Manual: The Essential Guide To All Kinds Of Kayaking is a Haynes manual written by Bill Mattos. Yes that’s right Haynes, the same Haynes that make the guides to fixing your knackered car.
I must admit that this along with the bold claim of the title made me extremely dubious about this book. The last time I had a Haynes manual was around 20 years ago for a MK II Ford Fiesta, and although great for fixing the brakes etc it wasn’t the kind of book you would read just for the hell of it.
Another great video from NRS.
Rapid Mag on the case again, this time with the guys from NRS.
NRS kit is available from Rapid Kayaks here in the UK.
A great little video from Dr Robin Scott.
This video shows Robin’s solo descent of the South Ram in Alberta in Canada.
Selection of some of the Carnage to our summer Trip to Italy. Rivers include; Sesia, Egua, Sermenzena, Sermenza, Mastellone.

I love little bits of kit – knives, stoves etc they all have their own place in the kit store. I have a few stoves from the very complex multi fuel expedition varieties to the super simple drinks can. Search the net for penny stoves/alcohol stoves and you’ll find loads of guides on how to make a stove out of an old drinks can.
I’ve made a few with mixed success but have been really happy with the whitebox stoves I purchased on line via ebay.
These bags look superb. The idea behind them was to recycyle or even upcycle vinyl advertising posters to creating something useful and in each case unique. The SMAXBros have really created something special here.
River a Week, #10 WINion and The Fairy Glen from Liam Chambers on Vimeo.
This video is proof that one can work 9-5:30pm and stil get great boating done in between work. 7:30pm on the way to the Wnion, Level was around 2.2 on the guage which meant is was super fun and interesting, And my first run down the Fairy Glen on the Conwy. Wasn’t my best performance, but hey had to be in work for 9:00am in Liverpool. Also part of my river a week project.
Thanks to Andy Butler for some footage (my GoPro broke) and paddling the rest of the Glen for me when I ran out of time.
Super fast and super long the Liquid Logic XP will be hitting the water in the UK anytime now.
May be the perfect cross over kayak?
