The Ard Rock is a mountain bike enduro event and is based near the beautiful village of Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales National Park (UK).

Photos from today’s National Student Rodeo 2017 have landed. Unfortunately the Rodeo was unable to take place on the whitewater course due to the amount of bacteria found in the water.
Fortunately the sun was out and there were plenty of paddlers still getting stuck in.
Over the last few years we have ran many Q&As with some of worlds top paddlers and manufacturers. This Q&A is a little bit different. David Turnbull isn’t a kayaker or canoeist. However David has been drawn towards whitewater like so many us and now spends a great deal of his time capturing the skill and beauty of whitewater kayaking and canoeing via the camera lens.
David’s photography has certainly inspire me to try a bit harder and I am very grateful that David has agreed to take part in the Unsponsored Q&A Series.
Today was the 2015 Rat Race right here in Stockton On Tees. Once again the Tees Barrage International Whitewater Centre hosted part of the race. Here are a few photographs of the event.

The guys from Whitewater The Canoe Centre have one of the first Ace of Spades kayaks and have kindly agreed to these images being shared on Unsponsored.
The Ace of Spades is the first boat from new kayak company Spade Kayaks. They deploy the blow moulded technique to produce the Ace.

I spent a few hours of today sat on Rescue Rock on the North Tyne (UK), water levels were good and the sun was out for most of the day. Thousands of images taken here are just a few.
Unsponsored has had a presence on Instagram for some time. I really like the format and will be making a greater use of the site over the course of 2014.
