After the conclusion of the 2014 Wind River Race, a few of us hadn’t quite gotten our fix for the weekend. While some folks chose to make the hike up Eagle Creek that evening, I opted to get an early start and met the rest of the crew the following morning at Skoonichuck Falls (approx 4 miles up the trail). The evening hikers took the opportunity to explore the upper reaches of eagle creek, hiking up above Tunnel Falls before putting on the creek (approx 8 miles). Continue reading

Demshitz: Camping Out Of Kayaks, Meadow Through The Gauley

This was an awesome trip! We paddled about 40 miles in two days. Living out of your kayak is so nice!

The Meadow river is a tributary to the Gauley. It drops into the Gauley at the top of Lost Paddle, one of the bigger rapids on the Gauley.

We started our trip in California driving the length of the state many times! After the water had dried up we headed to Washington and BC to find even more quality white water!

2013 has been an incredible season for us. We had a LOT of fun on & off the river. A lot of ideas / projects were concretized and we just kept doing what we love.
