Level Six King Of The Alps – Title Sponsor

From Level Six:

We are super excited to announce we are the title sponsor¬†of Europe’s premier¬†whitewater festival: King of The Alps.

Level Six King of the Alps - Title Sponsor

Located in Merano in the Passeiertal Valley in Italy this beautiful area offers an abundance of outdoor opportunities and is especially known for its beautiful scenery and amazing whitewater. We specifically choose to be a part of this event because of its inclusiveness. It truly is a well-rounded event that all paddlers and families can appreciate and enjoy. There are a number of Class 2, 3, 4 and 5 whitewater sections that can challenge any paddlers ability, and there are rafting options for any non-paddlers that want to attend! After doing some paddling of your own you can then watch or take part in a number of different races including the extreme Europen Championship race. All the race courses are easily visible as the river runs right through town! You can sit back and enjoy the action, and watch the top paddlers in the world try to claim the title of King and Queen of the Alps or attempt to take the crown yourself!

Dec. 18th, 2018 The Little White Salmon / Columbia Gorge season opener for the 2019 whitewater season.

We went hard as our old “off the couch asses” could go and got 2 LW laps, and the highest Trout-Wind run I’ve ever done. It was an epic homecoming after being in South America for 6 weeks. Thank you pacha mama for providing once again!

Clear Access Clear Waters

British Canoeing has launched its Access and Environment Charter – Clear Access, Clear Waters – a campaign which sets out a vision to confirm access to the rivers and inland waters of England and to protect the environment.

It brings together the views of members, the wider paddling community and other key stakeholders to clarify our vision for fair, shared, sustainable open access to water.

Based around three key pledges it sets out our vision and ask of the Government to address the matter of public access on water and protection of our environment.

Working with MPs, key stakeholders such as DCMS, Wildlife and Countryside Link, Inland Waterways Association and Canal & Rivers Trust, the Charter we have brought Ambition Six to life.

Bren’s Park Jam – Tees Barrage

Bren made it up to the North East and the Tees Barrage. ¬†Here’s his thoughts – The thing I loved most about this stop of the park jam is how unfathomably keen everyone was to hurl themselves in at the deep end on the short course, the enthusiasm and commitment to just give it a go was simply stunning.

I had a brilliant night being a part of that and I am stoked to come back again and kayak with everybody!
