Antix 2.0 Walkthrough

Antix 2.0 Walkthrough
Antix 2.0 Walkthrough

The original Antix was already my favorite boat of all time, but this boat blows it out of the water. It’s the perfect combo of all the playfulness I could ask for, but still gives me confidence that I am going to be able to run some much harder whitewater with this thing. More rocker, planing hull, faster, easier to paddle, this thing is insane. I am so fired up on how it turned out, and can’t wait to get it on all of my favorite sections!

Palm Side Swing HMS Karabiner – First Look

The Palm Side swing HMS Karabiner looks like a fairly conventional karabiner that has had some weight shaved off and a trick anodised colour applied. I thought exactly this when it landed here at Unsponsored HQ.

I didn’t even look at the name, as it was obscured by the paperwork, before removing the karabiner from its display card and checking out the gate action.

When you pick up a karabiner it is compulsory to test out the gate action. That is the point that I realised the Palm side swing karabiner was a little bit different.

Waka Steeze – Review

The Waka Steeze is designed as a river running play boat that you can still take out in bigger water with the addition of extra volume by adding in a pod. Two kayaks in one.

Waka Steeze – Review

Here is what Waka have to say about the Steeze:

The Steeze is a boat that has been created from our passion to deliver the kayak we as paddlers most want. Our desire is to have a boat that makes kayaking even more fun whilst not having to compromise on the features that a modern-day creek boat brings when that epic run comes in.

Palm Equipment Nevis PFD – First Look

Hot on the heals of the Kokatat Hustle R is the Palm Equipment Nevis PFD. We now have one of the very first at Unsponsored HQ for review.

Palm Equipment Nevis PFD - First Look
Palm Equipment Nevis PFD – First Look

The Nevis is an over the head slab PFD with a number of features I have not seen before in a PFD.

The Nevis PFD is the culmination of research from UCLan, design by Barney Caulfield and testing worldwide by Bren Orton. At its core is the Delta Fit adjustment system. Two wings that wrap your ribs, reducing pressure on your abdomen, helping you to breathe and increasing mobility. Set-up to go in five fluid steps, with fewer buckles (including new load tested aircraft grade aluminium hardware). The Nevis has the world’s first Piggyback adjustable quick release chest harness, improving upon the latest research, so that releasing your harness doesn’t affect the fit of your PFD. The Nevis sets a new standard in fit and safety.

Unsponsored T Shirts

Some time ago we did a range of T Shirts and Hoodies. They went down really well with even a number of UK University clubs wearing Sponsored by Unsponsored gear.

As a little experiment we have recreated some old designs, created some new designs and have placed them on Teemill.

All orders, printing and payment are handled by them. I have loads of other designs ready to go, so if this generates interest then I’ll upload more.

Check them out here.
