Continue readingThe original Antix was already my favorite boat of all time, but this boat blows it out of the water. It’s the perfect combo of all the playfulness I could ask for, but still gives me confidence that I am going to be able to run some much harder whitewater with this thing. More rocker, planing hull, faster, easier to paddle, this thing is insane. I am so fired up on how it turned out, and can’t wait to get it on all of my favorite sections!

We’ve seen a few little bits and bobs on the new Jackson Kayak over the last week or so. Well here it is.
The Antix 2.0 is the name given to this new kayak.
We have had at least one pair of Astral Brewers at Unsponsored HQ since there launch back in around 2013.
In that time I think we have had three pairs, so it is about time we published a full review.
Continue readingThe Palm Side swing HMS Karabiner looks like a fairly conventional karabiner that has had some weight shaved off and a trick anodised colour applied. I thought exactly this when it landed here at Unsponsored HQ.
I didn’t even look at the name, as it was obscured by the paperwork, before removing the karabiner from its display card and checking out the gate action.
When you pick up a karabiner it is compulsory to test out the gate action. That is the point that I realised the Palm side swing karabiner was a little bit different.

The Nevis is an over the head slab PFD with a number of features I have not seen before in a PFD.

As a little experiment we have recreated some old designs, created some new designs and have placed them on Teemill.
All orders, printing and payment are handled by them. I have loads of other designs ready to go, so if this generates interest then I’ll upload more.
