The new NRS Vector PFD picks up from where the Zen and Ninja PFDs left off. Both PFDs had a superb fit and if the Vector fits at least as well it will sure to be a winner.
The Vector uses the Orbit Fit System designed for overall comfort, allows for full range of motion, and eliminates the need for excessive tightening.
The NRS Vector PFD will be available in three sizes and three colours. Colours include black, red and the citrus yellow/green shown above. The Vector comes in three sizes as detailed below.
Sizing | Chest | User Weight |
XS/M | 30″ – 38″ | 90 – 154lbs |
M/L | 36″ – 46″ | 90+lbs |

The NRS Vector PFD has a quick-release rescue belt and an internal harness for added security. There are zippered pockets for storage and organization located on the front of the PFD.
You can easily clip in a cowtail rescue system on to either of the two front D-rings. There is also an attachment point for a river knife on the front of the PFD.
On the shoulders are reflective accents for visibility in low-light conditions. They can be seen in the image below.
The hand warmer pocket is soft and is large enough to hold webbing or gloves. The NRS Vector PFD is made from recycled materials and has ventilation for moisture management. The adjustable straps ensure a secure fit, and the silicone-coated waistband keeps it in place while swimming.
It is expected that the NRS Vector will retail for around $299.95.
