PeakUK have continued to develop their ever popular PFD range. The River Guide PFD is just one of many that has had a re-design over the last few years. In addition to the Red/Grey colour scheme PeakUK have introduced Blue/Lime to match the new deluxe drysuit.
New colours and a few tweaks have resulted in an awesome piece of gear. The River guide has between 60 and 70N of buoyancy, an integrated rescue harness, plenty of adjustability for getting that fit just so and a plethora of pockets.
The PeakUK River Guide PFD has an uncluttered design that provides a really nice ergonomic fit. Two split D-Rings are provided (one on each side) so a cows tail carabiner can be parked easily by those either left or right-handed. It’s little design thoughts just like this that can make a huge difference to how well a PFD works outside of when you need it to keep you afloat.
It is also great to see that the rescue harness’s steel ring has been held in place by the way in which the harness belt has been threaded.
Just curious, where does your knife go?
